Our History: The Journey of VETS365
VETS365 began as a vision shared by two compassionate individuals who were determined to make a difference in the lives of service-disabled veterans. In April 2019, Theophilus Tor and Sheila Cohen joined forces to create what would become a beacon of hope and support for veterans across the United States.
The Founders’ Vision
Theophilus (“Theo”) Tor, a veteran himself, recognized the challenges that service-disabled veterans face when transitioning to civilian life. With a passion for entrepreneurship and a deep commitment to his fellow veterans, Theo envisioned an organization that could provide them with the tools and resources needed to start their own businesses. His goal was to empower veterans to leverage their skills and experiences by securing contracts with the United States government, thereby achieving financial stability and independence.
On the other hand, Sheila Cohen was moved by the stories of veterans struggling with homelessness. She believed that no one who had served their country should ever have to face life on the streets. Sheila’s dream was to provide safe, affordable housing for homeless veterans, ensuring they had a place to call home while they rebuilt their lives.
The Birth of VETS365
In 2019, Theo and Sheila combined their passions and expertise to found VETS365. From the very beginning, the organization was dedicated to a dual mission: fostering business development and providing housing for service-disabled veterans. This holistic approach ensured that veterans could not only find shelter but also build sustainable futures through entrepreneurship.
Our Impact
Since its founding, VETS365 has grown into a comprehensive support system for service-disabled veterans. Our programs have provided food, clothing, and furnishings to those in need. We have housed countless veterans, offering them the security and dignity of a stable living environment. Additionally, through our business development initiatives, we have connected veterans with lucrative government contracts, helping them achieve financial independence and success.
Looking Ahead
Today, VETS365 continues to expand its reach and impact, driven by the same core values that inspired Theo and Sheila to start this journey. As we look to the future, our commitment to empowering veterans remains unwavering. We aim to serve even more veterans, offering them the resources, support, and opportunities they deserve.
We invite you to join us in this mission. Together, we can honor the sacrifices of our service-disabled veterans by providing them with the tools they need to build brighter futures.
