VETS365 started as a vision shared by two compassionate individuals. They were determined to make a difference in the lives of service-disabled veterans. In April 2019, Theophilus Tor teamed up with Sheila Cohen. They created what would become a beacon of hope and support for veterans across the United States.
The Founders’ Vision
Theophilus (“Theo”) Tor, a veteran himself, recognized the challenges that service-disabled veterans face when transitioning to civilian life. Theo had a passion for entrepreneurship. He was deeply committed to his fellow veterans. He envisioned an organization that would give them with the tools and resources needed to start their own businesses. His goal was to empower veterans to leverage their skills and experiences. He aimed to help them secure contracts with the United States government. This way, veterans will achieve financial stability and independence.
On the other hand, Sheila Cohen was moved by the stories of veterans struggling with homelessness. She believed that no one who had served their country should ever have to face life on the streets. Sheila’s dream was to offer safe and affordable housing for homeless veterans. She wanted to make sure they had a place to call home while they rebuilt their lives.
The Birth of VETS365
In 2019, Theo and Sheila merged their passions and skills to found VETS365. From the start, the organization had a dual mission. It focused on fostering business development and providing housing for service-disabled veterans. This holistic approach ensured that veterans will not only find shelter but also build sustainable futures through entrepreneurship.
Our Impact
Since its founding, VETS365 has grown into a comprehensive support system for service-disabled veterans. Our programs have provided food, clothing, and furnishings to those in need. We have housed countless veterans, offering them the security and dignity of a stable living environment. Additionally, through our business development initiatives, we have connected veterans with lucrative government contracts. This connection helps them achieve financial independence and success.
